Client stories
Notes from payment, lending, and wallet operators who commissioned audits for fintech controls—with enough detail to show what we actually examined.
Fintech Controls Audit
“They traced our wallet settlement path on day two and found the exception queue living in a shared mailbox—no owner, no aging. The finding stung, but the remediation list was specific enough that operations closed it in three weeks.”
Regulatory Readiness Review
“The readiness review before our supervisory visit was calmer than I expected. I would have liked one more day on collections overrides, though—the sample felt thin there compared with underwriting.”
Board Briefing Pack
“Our board used to skim the appendix. After the briefing pack, directors asked who owned each high finding and what residual risk remained if we slipped a quarter. That meeting finally sounded like governance, not theatre.”
Transaction Path Walkthrough
“The transaction path walkthrough caught a handoff between onboarding and fraud review that neither policy named. We rewrote the RACI before the full controls audit began.”
Extended case: overnight exception queue
A Taipei payment institution asked for a Fintech Controls Audit ahead of investor diligence. Walkthroughs on day two showed settlement reconciliations were signed, but overnight exceptions sat in a shared mailbox with no aging report.
We rated the finding high, named operations as owner, and listed three remediation steps: assign a named queue owner, add aging thresholds to the weekly pack, and sample-clear aged items before month-end close.
Extended case: readiness under time pressure
A Taoyuan consumer lender scheduled a Regulatory Readiness Review with sixteen days until a supervisory visit. Policies were current; override samples in collections were thinner than underwriting.
We flagged the imbalance in the draft discussion so the firm could expand collections evidence before the visit. The client later noted that imbalance as the one area they wished we had pressed earlier—fair feedback we now raise in kick-off scoping.
